Community Health Course
The Community Health course at KIBS Technical College equips students with practical skills to promote public health, disease prevention, and community wellness. Learners gain hands-on experience for frontline health support roles.
Introduction to Community Health
Students learn practical skills such as health education, disease prevention, community outreach, and basic healthcare support. The course prepares graduates to work in community health programs, NGOs, clinics, and public health initiatives. Graduates also gain the confidence to support community-based health interventions effectively.
Course Content
Students will gain practical knowledge and skills in:
• Principles of community and public health
• Health promotion and disease prevention
• Community outreach and health education
• Maternal, child, and family health
• Environmental health and sanitation
• Nutrition and basic health support
• Data collection, reporting, and monitoring
• Ethics and professionalism in community health
• KCSE Certificate (Any grade)
• KCPE Certificate accepted
• Ability to read and write
• Interest in public health and community service
3 – 6 Months (Depending on study mode)
