The Baking and Pastry course at KIBS Technical College equips students with essential skills in baking, pastry creation, and confectionery. Learners gain practical knowledge to work in bakeries, restaurants, and the hospitality industry.
Students learn practical skills such as bread baking, pastry preparation, cake decorating, dessert creation, and chocolate artistry. The course prepares graduates to work in bakeries, hotels, restaurants, and catering businesses, and equips them with the knowledge and confidence to start and manage their own successful baking ventures or culinary projects.
Students will gain practical knowledge and skills in:
• Principles of baking and pastry arts
• Bread and pastry preparation

• Dessert and chocolate creation
• Food safety, hygiene, and quality control
• Menu planning and portioning
• Oven management and baking techniques
• Business operations for bakeries and pastry shops
• KCSE Certificate (Any grade)
