Introduction to Health Care Assistance
Students learn practical skills such as patient care, basic clinical support, hygiene assistance, and healthcare communication. The course prepares graduates to work in hospitals, clinics, care facilities, and community health programs. Graduates gain the confidence to deliver quality patient support in real healthcare environments.
Course Content
Students will gain practical knowledge and skills in:
• Basic patient care and daily support
• Personal hygiene and patient mobility assistance
• Monitoring vital signs
• Infection prevention and control
• First aid and basic emergency response
• Nutrition support and feeding care
• Communication and ethics in healthcare
• Community and home-based healthcare support
• KCSE Certificate (Any grade)
• KCPE Certificate accepted
• Ability to read and write
• Interest in healthcare and patient support
3 – 6 Months (Depending on study mode)
